Job Description

Medical Billing (Payment Posting process)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform
daily cash balancing
and ensure accuracy in posting payments.
Conduct
payment posting and matching
for insurance and patient payments.
Follow up with
payors for pending payments
and resolve discrepancies.
Handle
payments with missing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
and ensure resolution.
Close and update daily payment batches
in a timely manner.
Identify and flag accounts that require
refund processing
.
Perform
line-item adjustments
at the time of payment posting.
Ensure compliance with
HIPAA and PHI
guidelines.
Manage
835 electronic payment matching
efficiently.
Work effectively within the
Enterprise Task Manager (ETM)
system.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1 to 6 years of experience in
Medical Billing Payment Posting
.
Strong understanding of
revenue cycle management (RCM)
processes.
Proficient in
EOB interpretation
and reconciliation.
Knowledge of
HIPAA regulations
and
ETM systems
.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
