Key areas where engineers contribute: Infrastructure Management: Ensuring the hospital's physical plant is safe, efficient, and sustainable. Medical Device Management: Maintaining, calibrating, and repairing medical equipment, as well as purchasing new equipment. Technology Implementation: Introducing and implementing new technologies to improve patient care and treatment. Safety and Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating safety risks associated with medical equipment and hospital facilities. Training and Support: Providing training and support to medical staff on the use of new technologies and equipment.
