Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Review, analyze, and process ECRs/ECOs for in-service fuel cell units in collaboration with product and field engineering teams.• Lead the electrical design change process, ensuring accurate updates to
electrical panels, wiring diagrams, control schematics
, layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).• Assess the impact of design changes on functionality, maintainability, safety, cost, and reliability of fielded electrical and control systems.• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, controls, and service engineering) for design verification and implementation planning.• Develop technical justifications, design notes, and engineering documentation supporting proposed changes.• Ensure adherence to configuration control, documentation accuracy, and engineering standards throughout the change process.• Support field service teams by providing retrofit instructions ,design validation feedback, and post-change performance analysis.• Collaborate with suppliers and sourcing teams for component substitutions, obsolescence management, and design standardization.• Contribute to
control system reliability
, cost reduction, and safety enhancement programs.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in
electrical engineering
.
7–10 years of experience in electrical design, product engineering, or change management, preferably within energy systems or fuel cell technologies.
Strong understanding of ECR/ECO workflows, PLM tools, and revision control processes.
Proficiency in electrical CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).
Experience with electrical panels, control systems design, PLC wiring, and power distribution architectures.
Working knowledge of electrical standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC), protection systems, grounding techniques, power distribution systems, wiring practices etc.
Experience in plant operations, maintenance engineering, or reliability programs is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills for coordination with global client teams.
