Job Description


1. Attendance, Leave & Payroll Coordination

  • Maintain employee attendance, shift schedules, leave records, and overtime registers.
  • Validate attendance data for payroll processing in coordination with corporate HR.
  • Handle time office operations and ensure discipline in attendance and shift management.
  • Process monthly wage statements for direct and indirect employees as per legal standards.

2. Manpower Planning & Recruitment

  • Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements for plant operations.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for workmen, staff, and contract labor through internal and external sources.
  • Conduct interviews, issue offer/appointment letters, and ensure joining formalities.
  • Liaise with local agencies for contract manpower and ensure compliance of contractors under CLRA Act.

3. Statutory Compliance & Audits

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESI, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.
  • Maintain statutory registers, returns, and records (Form A, B, C, D under various Acts).
  • Coordinate with labor department, ESI, and PF officials during inspections.
  • Handle HR documentation for internal and external audits (ISO, GMP, FSSAI, etc.).

4. Industrial Relations & Employee Discipline

  • Maintain cordial relations between management and workforce.
  • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and counseling sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with standing orders, safety, and code of conduct at shop floor level.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to labor laws and maintain proper documentation.

5. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Plan and execute employee welfare, safety, and engagement initiatives (birthday celebrations, cultural events, sports, etc.).
  • Monitor canteen, transportation, uniform, and other welfare facilities.
  • Conduct awareness programs on POSH, safety, hygiene, and statutory benefits.

6. Training & Development

  • Coordinate induction, job training, and skill enhancement programs.
  • Maintain training records and monitor training effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with training hours under Factories Act for workers and supervisors.

7. Performance Management

  • Support performance appraisal process and maintain KRA/KPI data.
  • Coordinate with functional heads for evaluation and feedback.
  • Assist in confirmation, promotion, and increment processes.

8. Exit Management

  • Manage resignation, clearance, and full & final settlement processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends at the plant level.
