Job Description

As a part of the Enterprise Infrastructure team at PowerSchool, your primary responsibility will be to support all hardware and software systems. You will provide technical guidance to IT and non-IT staff, ensuring that all infrastructure systems meet the company's current and future needs. Your key responsibilities will include: - Configuring, managing, and supporting AWS services such as EC2 instances, S3 storage, VPCs, subnets, security groups, and Transit Gateways. - Configuring, managing, and supporting Microsoft Azure resources including Virtual Machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, network security groups, VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, Application Gateways, and Azure Firewall. - Establishing, configuring, and maintaining IPSec VPN tunnels between cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure for secure connectivity. - Managing and troubleshooting Cloudflare DNS for external name resolution and supporting internal DNS infrastructure. - Administering and maintaining VMware and Hyper-V environments, including provisioning, performance tuning, patch management, and snapshot handling. - Monitoring system and infrastructure health using tools like LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, and native cloud monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and performance. - Diagnosing and resolving system and infrastructure issues impacting performance, uptime, or connectivity across virtual and cloud environments. - Planning and executing system upgrades, assisting with capacity planning, and maintaining documentation of infrastructure and configuration changes. - Collaborating with security and networking teams to ensure infrastructure adherence to organizational policies, compliance standards, and security best practices. - Maintaining operational health of enterprise-managed infrastructure hardware, ensuring minimal downtime and quick incident response. - Creating and maintaining infrastructure diagrams, runbooks, and other supporting documentation for system understanding and incident response. - Performing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field preferred. - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104). - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent. - 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management (AWS and/or Azure). - Strong knowledge of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, security groups, DNS, and VPNs. - Experience with Cloudflare DNS, internal DNS management, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency in managing virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - VMware certifications are a plus. - Experience deploying and managing ITIL and security technologies. - Networking and network products knowledge (switches, routers, firewalls) to assist the Network Team.
