Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer 2

As a member of the Enterprise Infrastructure team at PowerSchool, your primary responsibility will be to support and maintain all hardware and software systems, providing technical guidance to both IT and non-IT staff. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all infrastructure systems meet the current and future needs of the company, as well as troubleshooting system and network issues effectively. Your day-to-day tasks will involve configuring, managing, and supporting AWS services such as EC2 instances, S3 storage, VPCs, subnets, security groups, and Transit Gateways. You will also handle Microsoft Azure resources, including Virtual Machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and network security groups. Establishing and maintaining IPSec VPN tunnels between cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure will be essential to ensure secure and reliable connectivity. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining VMware and Hyper-V environments, monitoring system and infrastructure health using tools like LogicMonitor and SolarWinds, diagnosing and resolving system issues impacting performance, and collaborating with security and networking teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and security best practices. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, along with certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, strong networking knowledge, and proficiency in managing virtualization platforms are also required. In addition to technical skills, strong documentation abilities, attention to detail, excellent communication, and collaboration skills are preferred. Any certifications in VMWare, experience with ITIL and security technologies, and knowledge of networking products will be advantageous in fulfilling your role effectively.
