Senior Engineer/AM - Application

As a Manager/Senior Manager - Application at Xylem Water Solutions India Private Limited in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of Proposal & Process Applications, focusing on recycling and reuse in the Industrial water and wastewater treatment sector. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing technical and commercial proposals to address client needs in various industrial markets such as Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Power, Pharmaceuticals, Textile, CETP, Paper & Pulp etc. - Coordinating with sales, process design, procurement, project management, and other internal stakeholders to produce high-quality, competitive proposals. - Participating in the development and review of proposal strategies, managing the Proposal Management Plan (PMP), and ensuring compliance with RFP/bid requirements. - Analyzing data, sizing and positioning equipment, conducting Process & Mass Balance calculations, preparing Electrical Load List, Instrument List, Hydraulic Calculations, OPEX calculation, P&ID, HFD & layout sketches, and providing a quotation covering the recommended equipment. - Continually improving sizing programs and tools related to the application of company equipment. Skills required for this role include: - Good knowledge of design and proposal preparation for Industrial water and wastewater treatment sector, with a focus on recycling and reuse. - Proficiency in cost estimation and knowledge of the Indian Water and Wastewater sectors. - Experience in EPC or engineering firms, with the ability to meet deadlines and work within a multi-disciplinary team. - Strong communication skills, technical writing abilities, and proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and P&ID. - Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision. Qualifications needed for this position: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or a related field. - 8-15 years of experience in proposal engineering, preferably in industrial water treatment. - Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment technologies, cost estimation, proposal writing, and working in multidisciplinary teams. - Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
