What you will be doing... As a Senior Engineer consultant for the Video Product backend services team, you will write great code to process our customer's video and metadata. Youll work on cutting-edge compression technologies like VVC, AV1, HEVC, high dynamic range video, and enhancement filters. You will be responsible for the delivery of highly scalable backend services for video products for Set-Top-Box, Mobile, and Web Clients. You will partner with the onshore development team & business teams to establish goals, influence and effectively communicate/execute the vision set by the leadership team. Leading platform software architecture and vision for services. Managing schedules/Team, be accountable and deliver projects on time in a fast paced agile environment. Being passionate about learning new technologies and creating innovative solutions. Developing 24x7 no downtime highly available video backend services in Production environment. Contributing technically and own architectural oversight of system/services. Creating an atmosphere of innovation for creating next generation services. Working with Product Management and Operations to successfully deploy services. Youll need to have: Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience. Four or more years of relevant work experience. Experience in leading Software projects/development teams. Experience with performance tuning, scalability and availability. Experience in the software development cycle. Experience in solid development experience on various Media formats, H.264/AVC, Media Frameworks, Media Foundation and solid understanding of MediaLive and MediaConvert and AWS Elemental services. Demonstrated working knowledge on streaming protocols such as RTP/RTSP/HTTP Experience with or knowledge of various DRM schemes such as Widevine, PlayReady. Experience in video codec development experience, particularly AV1, HEVC, H.264 and MPEG2, etc Experience in leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Strong in Object-oriented programming and design principles. Expertise in troubleshooting, Code Optimization, Performance Tuning Understanding of Agile methodologies. Excellent communications skills with the ability to work with other product / client teams and ability to work independently on complex tasks. Mentor the junior team members and guide them to successfully deliver the project goals. Demonstrated hands-on experience building products and deploying them to cloud platforms. Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab etc. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Understanding of AWS Cloud architecture, tools and techniques. Knowledge of Machine learning and Artifiicial intelligence. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Experience in a software product development environment. Understanding of multi-threaded software development. Understanding of information security. Understanding of database systems.
