Senior Engineer- Software Cloud

As a Software Engineer at Eaton Corporation's Center for Connected Intelligent Solutions (CCIS), you will be directly involved in the architecture, design, and development of an Internet of Things platform. This project, resembling a start-up initiative, will be the foundation for building and extending customer-facing applications and solutions for Eaton product teams. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, NoSQL, big data, open source, DevOps, microservices, mobile, and cybersecurity. Your key responsibilities will include: - Working with your team to contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of the IoT platform, primarily using Azure, Scala/Java, C#, and Python - Facilitating day-to-day software operations and presenting solutions using various tools like flowcharts, diagrams, and code snippets - Providing work estimates, participating in design and code reviews, and developing agile work plans for project delivery - Collaborating with test teams to ensure adequate test coverage, fix bugs, and manage the quality process - Directly engaging with stakeholders, engineering, and test teams to deliver high-quality products that address end-user needs - Evaluating business requirements and recommending software tools to management and architecture teams Qualifications required for this role: - BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA - 4-7 years of software industry experience with a focus on developing technology solutions and shipping high-quality products - 3-6 years of experience in developing highly scalable web-based applications and/or distributed systems - 2-4 years of experience with C# and .Net - 1-3 years of experience working with Azure Skills you should possess: - Proficiency in Java or C# and .Net technologies and associated IDEs - Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases like SQL Server, Cosmos, MongoDB - Strong understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts - Thorough knowledge of object-oriented design, programming skills, and design patterns - Solid grasp of networking protocols, network, and distributed computing concepts - Extensive experience with cloud development platforms such as Azure or AWS - Knowledge of security concepts like encryption, certificates, and key management - Experience with Agile development methodologies, CI/CD concepts, and software engineering best practices - Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and task prioritization skills In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead technical development efforts, demonstrate your strong communication skills, and contribute to the success of the IoT platform project at Eaton Corporation's CCIS.,
