Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate molds for plastic/metal components as per product requirements.
Lead
mold assembly, fitting, and maintenance activities
to ensure smooth production.
Perform
troubleshooting and root cause analysis
of mold-related issues during production.
Plan and execute
preventive maintenance schedules
for molds to avoid downtime.
Collaborate with
design, production, and quality teams
to optimize mold performance.
Ensure mold designs are cost-effective, durable, and meet customer specifications.
Coordinate with vendors for
mold manufacturing, repair, and modification
.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, mold history records, and reports.
Ensure compliance with
safety, quality, and ISO standards
in mold operations.
Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in
mold design, assembly, and maintenance
.
Hands-on experience with
CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Creo, NX, CATIA, etc.)
.
Knowledge of
molding processes
(injection molding, compression molding, die casting, etc.).
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in
Mechanical / Tool & Die / Production Engineering
.
8 to 12 years of experience in
mold design, development, and maintenance
.
Exposure to
automotive, manufacturing, or engineering industry
preferred.
