Purpose of the Role:

To support manufacturing operations by machining, assembling, maintaining, and repairing tools, moulds, dies, and precision components using conventional and CNC machines, ensuring high quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain

  CNC, VMC, Wire EDM, and Lathe machines

  as per production requirements
• Manufacture, assemble, and repair

  tools, moulds, jigs, fixtures, and dies

  .
• Interpret

  engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions

  accurately.
• Set up machines, select appropriate tools, cutters, and fixtures.
• Perform

  trial runs, corrections, and fine adjustments

  to achieve required tolerances.
• Conduct

  preventive maintenance

  of machines and tooling.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy using

  measuring instruments

  such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining or tooling issues.
• Maintain

  5S, safety, and quality standards

  in the tool room.
• Coordinate with

  Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams

  for smooth operations.
• Record daily production, rejection, and machine utilization data.
  

Machine & Process Exposure (Role-wise):

• Tool Maker / Mould Maker:

  Tool & mould assembly, fitting, polishing, try-outs, maintenance.

• CNC / VMC Operator:

  Programming (basic), setting, machining, tool offsets.

• Wire EDM Operator:

  Cutting precision profiles, electrodes, inserts.

• Lathe Operator:

  Turning, facing, threading, drilling using conventional lathe machines.

Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma

  in Tool & Die Making, Machinist, Fitter, Production Engineering, or relevant trade.
• Certification in CNC / VMC / Tool Making is an added advantage.
  

Experience:

• 2 to 10 years

  of relevant experience in Tool Room / Precision Manufacturing.
• Experience in

  plastic injection moulds / automotive / consumer goods / cookware components

  preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  machining processes and tooling

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments
• Basic understanding of

  CNC programming (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas – preferred)

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Team player with attention to detail
