Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer specializing in TBM & Tunnel (Civil) projects, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the tunnel boring machine (TBM) operations. Your responsibilities will include being fully accountable for a TBM unit, from transport and assembly to its operation and retrieval activities. You will be directly involved in supervising the TBM's operation, including its cutterhead, gripper arms, and various components. Monitoring the TBM's performance will be a key aspect of your role, where you will track factors such as penetration rate, torque, and power consumption. Safety will be of paramount importance, and you will be required to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and promptly address any safety issues that may arise. Your duties will also involve data collection and analysis related to TBM performance, including geological data, water inflow, and equipment maintenance. As challenges arise during TBM operations, you will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, whether they involve equipment malfunctions or geological obstacles. Effective shift management will be essential, where you will lead the shift team by assigning tasks, coordinating activities, and handling any conflicts that may arise. Clear and timely communication with the project management team, engineers, and other stakeholders will be crucial to ensuring the smooth and successful execution of TBM operations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management, along with a minimum of 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in TBM and tunneling projects.
