Job Description

As a Senior Firmware Test Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our embedded firmware products. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing robust test strategies with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity. Your expertise in embedded systems, automation, and security best practices will be pivotal in identifying vulnerabilities and enhancing the overall quality of our firmware solutions. Your responsibilities in this role will include designing and executing comprehensive test plans with a focus on firmware security and reliability. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using C# to improve test coverage and efficiency. Additionally, conducting security risk assessments, staying updated with emerging cybersecurity threats, and integrating best practices into testing methodologies will be part of your routine tasks. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and supporting testing activities using tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies will be essential. You will also participate in Agile ceremonies, manage test cases, log defects, track issues, and ensure compliance with secure development lifecycle practices and cybersecurity standards. As the ideal candidate for this role, you are a proactive problem-solver who anticipates customer needs and delivers beyond expectations. You thrive in dynamic environments, take ownership of outcomes, and are committed to delivering high-quality, secure firmware solutions. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in firmware testing or development with a strong focus on cybersecurity. Proficiency in C#, C/C++, and scripting languages is required, as well as a solid understanding of embedded systems, firmware architecture, and network protocols. Preferred qualifications that set you apart include a Bachelor of Science in Computer or Electronics Engineering, experience collaborating with hardware engineering teams, cybersecurity certifications, knowledge of industry standards and regulations, and experience in secure software development lifecycle and cybersecurity compliance.
