Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Perform incoming inspection and verification of plastic components, subassemblies, and raw materials as per specifications and sampling plans

Review and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, GD&T, and inspection standards
Identify and document non-conformities, initiate NCRs, and coordinate with suppliers for RCA and CAPA
Develop and maintain inspection standards, WI/SOPs, and visual aids for plastic part inspection
Handle and maintain measuring instruments and gauges (e.g., Vernier, Caliper, Profile Projector, CMM, etc.)
Evaluate and validate new suppliers and plastic components through First Article Inspection (FAI) and Supplier Process Audits
Coordinate with design, production, and sourcing teams for quality improvements
Participate in supplier quality performance reviews, incoming quality trend analysis, and improvement initiatives

Preferred candidate profile

In-depth knowledge of plastic part inspection, defects, and molding process parameters
Strong interpretation of technical drawings and GD&T
Experience with FAI, GRN inspection, and sampling techniques (AQL)
Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially with suppliers and cross-functional teams
Strong documentation and reporting ability

Good analytical and problem-solving mindset
