Ensure timely completion of production schedules aligned with customer requirements and dispatch plans. Optimize machine utilization and effective manpower deployment across all shifts. Monitor and maintain the availability, condition, and performance of cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures. Ensure correct clamping methods, tool offsets, and machining parameters are consistently followed to achieve desired quality and precision. Collaborate with the tooling and maintenance departments to manage tool life, resolve tooling issues, and address machine breakdowns efficiently. Lead and manage a team of machine operators, setters, and technicians, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and workplace safety protocols. Preferred Candidate Profile Proficient in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering drawings. You will be responsible for ensuring that all Quality Assurance measures in line with IATF 16949 are strictly adhered to within the company while also identifying opportunities to enhance quality and reduce costs. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining 5S practices plant-wide, ensuring documentation compliance with ISO and IATF standards, managing customer audits and resolving quality-related issues promptly, documenting 8D, Six Sigma, and Action Plans, overseeing the Quality Department including supervisors and inspectors, supporting the new product development team in preparing Technical Feasibility Commitment documents, and managing ballooning and drawing revision maintenance. To qualify for this role, you should be a Graduate Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing setting, with mandatory exposure to the aluminium die-casting industry. You should possess the ability to interpret 2D drawings, proficiency in CAD CAM software, and a strong understanding of 8D, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and IATF 16949 standards. Excellent computer skills are also essential. In addition to technical qualifications, the ideal candidate will demonstrate personal characteristics such as being process-oriented, having strong analytical skills, being cost-conscious, innovative, and creative, showing initiative and drive, excelling in people management and leadership, and possessing effective written and verbal communication skills.
