Job Description

As a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for developing electronic hardware for high-performance, real-time controls, and protective relays used in smart grid applications within the electrical power distribution industry. Your role will involve collaborating with a multi-discipline engineering team to define requirements between hardware and software subsystems. Some key functions include breaking down product/system requirements into hardware requirements, developing module & system level hardware architecture, and providing project, process, and technical support while contributing to product development & technology innovations. Additionally, you will participate in agile development planning efforts, coordinate with global stakeholders for all hardware-related activities, generate ideas and innovative solutions to enhance business products" competitive edge. You will design electronic circuits and sub-systems for power distribution system intelligent electronic devices, as well as peripheral interfaces for microprocessors and microcontrollers. Leading high-level design activities for new product features, system interface design activities, and resolving integration issues will be part of your responsibilities. Your tasks will also include participating in new product development activities such as planning, task estimation, design, programming, unit testing, peer review, integration, and release. You will contribute to the analysis and specification of electronic subsystems, design and implement tests for design verification, and lead hardware development efforts for high-performance electronic controls based on Analog and Digital Printed Circuit Boards. Additionally, you will author high-quality design and test specifications and collaborate with the test team to ensure adequate test case coverage. Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering - 7+ years of related experience in Electronics Hardware Design and Development with expertise in Embedded RTOS, Linux, C, C++, and Unit Testing - Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment - Strong understanding of power electronics and electronic component specifications - Experience with linear and switching power supply designs, embedded electronic peripherals, and printed circuit board layout design - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision Skills: Desired Qualifications: - Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools like Altium Designer - Knowledge of power systems, switchgear, and regulator controls products/applications is an added advantage - Experience with Power Systems portfolio including Switchgears, Relays, Meters, Regulators, etc. - Experience in handling end-to-end IoT device lifecycle - Good team player with excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) to effectively communicate information to customers and technical staff, ability to work effectively in ambiguity, passionate and pro-active,
