The Senior Engineer - Battery (NPD) will be responsible for spearheading the development of innovative, high-capacity battery systems, with a focus on advancing product designs and technologies to meet market demands. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for ideation, research, design, testing, and integration of battery solutions into the companys product portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader in battery systems development and play a critical role in ensuring the successful launch of cutting-edge energy storage solutions aligned with the companys sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of next-generation high-capacity battery systems (1 MWh and above) for new product lines. Design and prototype advanced battery architectures, ensuring scalability, safety, and performance. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate market requirements into technical product specifications. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of battery technologies, focusing on efficiency, longevity, and regulatory compliance. Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance to accelerate time-to-market for new products. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and project updates, for review by the HOD. Drive cross-functional collaboration between R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product integration. Stay updated on emerging trends in battery technology, materials, and processes to inform future product development.
