Electrician Roles and Responsibilities1. Installation

• Install wiring systems (residential, commercial, industrial).
• Set up electrical components such as outlets, switches, lighting systems, panels, and circuit breakers.
• Install electrical equipment like generators, transformers, and motors.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations.

2. Maintenance

• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and code compliance.
• Maintain and service electrical machines, equipment, and fixtures.
• Replace worn or malfunctioning components.
• Upgrade outdated wiring and systems to meet current standards.

3. Troubleshooting & Repair

• Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as multimeters and circuit testers.
• Repair electrical faults, short circuits, and power outages.
• Identify root causes of malfunctions and implement safe, effective repairs.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all work complies with national, local, and industry electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
• Follow safety protocols to prevent electrical shocks, fires, and accidents.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures before working on energized systems.
• Prepare documentation of work performed to meet regulatory requirements.

5. Project Coordination

• Plan and estimate labor, materials, and timelines for electrical jobs.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other trades.
• Supervise and train apprentices or junior electricians.
• Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to clients or supervisors.

6. Customer Service

• Provide clear explanations of electrical issues and repair options.
• Offer recommendations for energy-efficient solutions.
• Ensure client satisfaction with quality workmanship and timely completion.

7. Specialized Tasks (Depending on Expertise)

• Install and maintain fire alarm, security, or communication systems.
• Work with renewable energy systems (solar PV, EV chargers, etc.).
• Handle industrial controls, PLCs, and automation systems.
• Test grounding systems and perform electrical load calculations.

Salary Budget: Rs. 15000-20000
Experience: 7- 10 yrsLicense: ITI (Electrician) - 5 yrs or Experience Electrician more than 10 Yrs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
