Should have experience on basic and detailed design on Power Plants preferably Combined Cycle Projects with Fuel Cells, BESS and Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Systems.
Has a good knowledge of Electrical Physical design, the principles, and practices of related technical areas and of coordinating with other technical disciplines.
Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices.
Within discipline develops designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures and plant arrangements under supervision. Plans and executes the presentation of these in detailed scale models.
Major Responsibilities: - Generates 2-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) plant layouts and drawings using MicroStation / Smart Sketch from detailed design 3-D CAD model with minimal guidance from others.
- Proficient in S3D modelling Equipment modelling, Raceway, Grounding and lighting.
- Works independently in the preparation of 3-D CAD design model under the supervision of experienced designers. Assists in constructing detailed models and participates in client model reviews.
- Prepares design calculations as applicable, to be used in the discipline.
- Prepares bulk material quantity takeoffs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline.
- Reviews calculations, design models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the group and by material suppliers, as assigned.
- Answers questions from client or construction group on design for assigned responsibility.
- Works with designers in other disciplines to coordinate overall design and technical requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements: - Min. 10 Years of experience, specialized courses in drafting, design and engineering practices, and CAD, or a recognized diploma.
- Site experience will be an added advantage.
Required Knowledge and Skills: - Knowledge and understanding of Raceway, lighting, grounding design and modelling, cable sizing.
- Knowledge of electrical physical design related to equipment like Gas Turbines, HRSG, Cooling Towers, IPBD Layouts.
- Basic Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria, and codes relevant to the discipline.
- Knowledge of the application of engineering and construction materials related to the discipline s design responsibilities.
- Familiarity with relevant design standards and guides, Skill in reading, interpreting, and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups.
- Sound knowledge of CAD design and drafting techniques using S3D, MicroStation, engineering drawing, graphic arts, reading of drawings and reproduction methods used by the discipline.
- Extraction and preparation of material quantity take-offs from design drawings.
- Experience in using Navisworks for model review and clash detection, proficiency in SPR. General knowledge of technical responsibilities of other groups associated with the total design effort.
- Skill in leading the technical work of less experienced designers and/or drafters who share in the design effort.
