Senior Electrical Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and ELV systems.
• Prepare, review, and validate detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using

AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD/BIM tools.

• Perform and review electrical load calculations, voltage drop studies, fault-level calculations, and energy optimization analyses.
• Ensure all designs are fully compliant with local and international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA).
• Oversee MEP coordination, resolving complex design conflicts and ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines.
• Lead participation in workflows, integrating electrical designs into 3D models and ensuring accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve shop drawings, contractor submittals, and vendor documents.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and drafting staff.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and project managers to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and sustainable electrical design practices.
• Support project planning, estimation, and client presentations as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in electrical design, with proven expertise in largescale MEP or construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and electrical analysis software.
• Deep understanding of power distribution networks, lighting systems, ELV, renewable integration, and energy-efficient solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and relevant electrical codes/standards.
• Strong background in MEP coordination, electrical load studies, and fault analysis.
• Proven ability to lead design teams, manage deliverables, and oversee complex projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines.
