Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical design of

  low-voltage switchgear and switchboards (≤1000 V)

  in compliance with

  UL891-2019

  and relevant codes (NEC, CE Code, NOM).
• Apply knowledge of

  UL 1558 (Switchgear), UL 891 (Switchboards), UL 508A (Control Panels), and UL 67 (Panelboards)

  to ensure design compliance.
• Develop and review

  busbar layouts, protective device integration, grounding, and insulation systems

  .
• Perform

  short-circuit withstand, heat rise, and fault current calculations

  .
• Create and validate

  schematic drawings

  in

  AutoCAD

  , including

  wiring, routing, and schematics in SolidWorks Electrical

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  type test and routine test requirements

  .
• Collaborate with mechanical teams for fully integrated designs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Electrical / Power Engineering

  .
• 7–10 years’ proven experience in

  UL891-compliant switchgear and switchboard design

  .
• Strong expertise across

  UL 1558 (Switchgear), UL 891 (Switchboards), UL 508A (Control Panels), and UL 67 (Panelboards)

  (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of

  protective devices, busbar systems, and circuit ratings

  .
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  and

  SolidWorks (Electrical – wiring, routing, schematics)

  ; certification preferred.
• Familiarity with

  ANSI/NFPA 70, CSA, and IEC standards

  .
