Job Description

About the role:
Reporting to the Post-Production Supervisor, the Senior Editor leads a small team of Editors charged with creating high volume short-form content for The Pet Collective website and social channels. In addition to managing and mentoring the team, the Senior Editor will also be assigned premium original and elevated pilots, sizzle presentations and ongoing formats as part of our development pipeline. The Senior Editor will be the main point of contact with the assigned Producer and Executive Producer, as well as counterparts on the US Programming and Production teams. The Senior Editor is a creative video expert with excellent technical skills, a strong creative flair, and a deep understanding of short- and long-form video content production. As a Senior Editor, you will oversee the entire editorial process, ensuring that content is accurate, engaging, and aligns with all brand standards. You will be comfortable both giving and receiving creative feedback and addressing notes in a timely manner. Organized with the ability to multitask effectively, you are eager to be part of a growing, award-winning video team.

Your day-to-day:

Support the Creative team in the execution of short-form clip-based content, premium pilots and sizzle presentations as assigned
Respond in a timely manner to notes from the Creative and Executive Producers
Enable greater synergy and lead the communication between the creative and post teams, both within the Delhi Team, and with the wider US Hub on all assigned projects
Manage and mentor a small team of editors and provide performance feedback and reports on a bi-annual basis
Raise the creative bar and lead by example while delivering best-in-class content for our extensive audience
Maintain organizational and naming guidelines as it relates to delivery workflow
Maintain post-production records in Airtable, including status updates and workflow management
Quality check deliverables at various specifications for multiple platforms
Other duties as assigned by the Post Supervisor and VP Production

Requirements:

Minimum of 8+ Years in Post-Production as an Editor, with at least 2 years as a senior-level editor in a production environment ( digital, production, broadcast, post).
Knowledge and understanding of standard production/post-tech tools and workflow.
Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Frame.io, After Effects and other video production tools.
Requires some level of knowledge on social media analytics and trends.
Open to the ability to adapt to and test AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools and trends.
Deep knowledge of and experience creating high-performing content for all social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat)
Mastery of the English language and a familiarity of English used in U.S. digital media

Strong communication and organizational skills.
Solid leadership skills with the ability to communicate strategy and objectives clearly.
A disposition for high-growth, entrepreneurial culture that requires teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels.
Must be available to work swing shifts as needed.
