Job Description

A Senior Director of Project Management oversees and guides project managers, leads the most complex initiatives, and sets strategic direction for project management practices within an organization. Key responsibilities include developing and monitoring integrated project plans, managing large budgets and resources, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals, developing and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of performance improvement, and managing relationships with key stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
Sets the strategic direction for project management, aligning project outcomes with the company's overall objectives and contributing to business strategy.
Complex Project Management:
Leads and manages the most complex and critical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
Team Leadership & Development:
Hires, manages, and mentors project managers and other team members, fostering a high-performing culture and providing ongoing professional development.
Stakeholder & Client Management:
Manages relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and their representatives, ensuring buy-in and managing expectations.
Performance & Quality Assurance:
Establishes and maintains high standards for project deliverables and processes, monitors progress, and implements effective quality control measures.
Risk Management:
Identifies, assesses, and develops mitigation strategies for project risks and operational issues.
Financial Oversight:
Manages large budgets, allocates resources effectively, and ensures fiscal responsibility across projects.
