Description
5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering. Understanding cloud database services, including database provisioning, reliability, scalability, and data automation. Knowledge of RDBMS databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL are preferred). Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure. Strong knowledge of scripting using Python, Ruby, and Bash. Solid understanding of Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and its integration with CI/CD pipelines, including testing. Knowledge/experience with GitHub actions/workflows. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice to have Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, AKS, or equivalent. Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or equivalent. Familiarity with software build and release tools such as Jenkins, Rundeck, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. Experience in database performance and optimization. Responsibilities Support operations with expertise to maintain the project cloud database reliability, performance, scalability, and security. Uphold the cloud standards through automation, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Design, implement, and manage database reliability engineering practices for cloud-based environments. Automate database provisioning, scaling, backup, and recovery processes. Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for database environments using tools like Terraform. Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate database management into CI/CD pipelines.
