Senior Devops Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

Platform & DevOps Engineering:

• Contribute to building and operating a secure, EU-hosted Kubernetes platform for a multi-tenant product and its supporting services
• Provision and manage Kubernetes clusters (including vanilla/unmanaged when needed) and core add-ons such as ingress, DNS/certificates, and storage
• Build and maintain Terraform scripts, environments, and automation for repeatable infrastructure provisioning and changes
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps YAML), including build, test, artifact promotion, and deployment
• Implement and operate observability: metrics (Prometheus), dashboards (Grafana), and centralized logging (Prometheus/ELK)
• Strengthening platform security through hardening, access control, network segmentation/policies, secrets handling, and continuous improvement of controls
• Operate and troubleshoot platform services such as Nginx and database deployments (such as PostgreSQL/MySQL) with an operations focus (not DBA)
• Support networking requirements such as VLAN setup and connectivity in non-hyperscaler environments
• Support air-gapped / offline deployment patterns where required
• Estimate, track, and optimize infrastructure costs, capacity, and performance for existing and new environments
• Create and maintain infrastructure and security documentation; participate in reviews, incident response, and post-incident learning

Adapting new products and knowledge:

• Quickly learn the Formpipe platform and product landscape from a technical and domain perspective, including reference architecture, security expectations, and target hosting environments (including EU-based managed Kubernetes providers)

Support, Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

• Analyze complex platform issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement pragmatic fixes and preventive improvements

Qualifications:

Education and Seniority

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field
• 5 - 8 years’ experience in DevOps / platform engineering, operating Kubernetes-based environments and building CI/CD automation

Team Behavior

Experienced working in agile and cross-functioning teams with the focus on a shared responsibility in the team and not a team run by few individual leads

Personal Mindset and Skills

Be open-minded and curious about working with an organization from another culture and operating with a flat, non-hierarchical structure. Preferably having previously worked with organizations within the EU. Transparency and trust are the keys, and making mistakes or asking a second time is totally fine, as long as you learn from it. Taking ownership for the team delivery and improvements together with all the other team members in the team.

This position collaborates with other development teams as well as the operations and support teams routinely, so excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.

Professional Experiences

Experience provisioning and operating Kubernetes and associated services (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic, Nginx, PostgreSQL and MySQL). Experience improving delivery and operations through automation and tooling (including AI-assisted workflows where relevant).

10. Agile Methodologies (Scrum, SAFe/LeSS, TDD, BDD, etc.)

11. Experience working with distributed teams across regions and time zones
