Title : Senior DevOps Engineer Location : Bangalore, India Type : Full-time Employee Experience : 10+ Years Roles Responsibilities Handling the CICD pipelines in Github actions Automation of customer onboarding to any cloud using workflows and Java or Python Enabling blue-green deployments for customer infrastructure Enabling the fallback disaster servers for customer infrastructure Providing the deployment architecture for the customer solutions, products and AI/ML solutions Handling backup and recovery for customer deployments Automation of On-premise deployment Working with the Development team to improve the deployment frameworks Working with product or solution managers to plan the automation and deployment for a customer. Leading and mentoring the team of DevOps engineers to guide through automation and deployment. Involve in the discussions and decision making for product roadmap. Skills Requirement Extensive Proficiency in Linux : Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux systems, including deep expertise in administration, optimization, and automation. Leadership in CI/CD Pipeline Development : Proven experience in designing, building, and scaling CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and cloud-native solutions such as Google Cloud Workflows or Cloud Build. Expertise in optimizing build and deployment processes for large-scale applications. Expertise in Serverless and Container Deployments : Comprehensive experience in deploying and managing both serverless architectures and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) across various platforms. Demonstrated ability to lead teams in microservices architecture and container orchestration strategies. Cloud Architecture and Expertise : In-depth experience with at least one major cloud provider (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure), with a preference for those holding cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect). Capable of architecting, securing, and scaling cloud infrastructure. Advanced Traffic Management and Security : Expertise in designing and managing traffic using load balancers, firewalls, and other networking solutions, both in cloud and hybrid environments. Strong understanding of advanced security practices, including VPC configurations and network security best practices. Advanced Scripting and Automation : Expert-level proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl) for system automation, performance tuning, and infrastructure management. Experience mentoring junior engineers in scripting and automation. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Mastery : Extensive experience in infrastructure automation using Terraform, including complex multi-cloud environments. Capable of leading IaC adoption and creating reusable modules for efficient provisioning and management. Cloud and On-Prem Deployment Automation : Strong background in creating and managing fully automated deployment pipelines for both cloud and on-premise environments. Expertise in deployment rollbacks, zero-downtime releases, and canary deployments. Monitoring, Observability, and Incident Management : Proven experience with advanced monitoring, observability, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, DataDog). Ability to design and implement observability strategies that ensure system reliability and performance monitoring at scale. Networking and Security Architecture : Deep understanding of network infrastructure and security architecture for cloud and hybrid environments. Expertise in VPC, subnet management, DNS, VPN, and firewall configurations. Java and Other Development Skills : Java coding skills (and experience with other programming languages) are highly desirable. Capable of collaborating closely with development teams to streamline operations. Strategic Problem-Solving and Leadership : Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex deployment issues across different stages. Leadership experience in guiding teams through challenging production issues, including post-mortems and incident analysis. Mentorship and Team Leadership : Experience mentoring junior DevOps engineers and leading teams through technical challenges. Ability to provide strategic direction for DevOps practices and infrastructure improvement.
