Senior Developer, Power BI

The Senior Power BI Developer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI. You will be responsible for gathering requirements from stakeholders, creating data models, developing interactive dashboards, and optimizing report performance. Strong skills in data analysis, DAX, SQL, and Power BI best practices are necessary to ensure accurate and efficient reporting. Collaboration with business teams is essential to transform data into meaningful insights aligned with business needs, ensuring clear, secure, and user-friendly reports. Your responsibilities will include gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing and developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models, creating and optimizing DAX calculations, developing and maintaining SQL queries, ensuring data accuracy and security, collaborating with business users for dashboard refinements, optimizing report performance, conducting testing and validation, providing documentation and training for end-users, staying updated on Power BI features and best practices, configuring and managing workspaces, collaborating with Data Engineers and Architects, and utilizing advanced data modeling techniques. Additionally, the role requires flexibility in work schedule, off-hours availability for project implementation, and travel both locally and internationally. The ideal candidate should have 5-8 years of overall experience, a minimum of 3 years of experience in Microsoft Power BI and business process analysis, and a BS/BA or equivalent business experience in a related discipline. Specialized skills and technical knowledge needed include in-depth expertise in Power BI, strong knowledge of SQL, understanding of enterprise-wide data structures, experience with various data sources, ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, familiarity with data governance and compliance best practices, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to stay updated on Power BI advancements.
