Senior Dessert Chef Consultant

As a Senior Dessert Chef / Culinary Consultant at Silk Moon, you will be responsible for leading menu R&D, operations setup, and team training for the launch of this premium Hong Kong-style dessert brand in India. Your key deliverables will include: - Curating & Finalizing Menu: Develop an 8-10 item signature menu of Hong Kong-style desserts tailored for Indian tastes and delivery formats. - Recipe Development & Adaptation: Create desserts that are delicious, scalable, storage-friendly, and visually appealing while balancing authenticity with innovation. - Packaging & Plating Design: Standardize serving sizes, ensure delivery stability, and optimize for Instagram-ready presentation. - Ingredient & Packaging Sourcing: Identify premium suppliers in Delhi NCR for desserts, toppings, and high-quality packaging. - Kitchen Setup & Operational Blueprint: Establish a home-kitchen model capable of producing 50-100 orders per day with consistency. - Staff Training & SOPs: Train a small team on recipe execution, hygiene standards, packaging efficiency, and order fulfillment. - Recipe Documentation: Standardize recipe cards, yield/costing sheets, and storage/shelf-life guidance for both home-kitchen and professional kitchens. The ideal candidate for this role is a creative and operationally disciplined culinary professional with experience in menu creation, recipe innovation, dessert R&D, plating aesthetics, and flavor-texture balance. Familiarity with Asian/Hong Kong desserts, cloud kitchens, premium dessert brands, and high-volume patisserie operations is desirable. You should also have knowledge of ingredient sourcing, supply chain, and packaging vendors in Delhi NCR. This short-term consulting opportunity is for 30 days, with the possibility of extension to 60 days. The location is Gurgaon, and the commitment requires flexible hours with hands-on presence during trials and training. The fee is market-competitive based on seniority and scope, with potential for future growth within Silk Moon as the brand expands.
