Description
As a Senior Designer for Kitchen Spaces within Food Service Consulting, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Regional Design Manager in managing the design aspects of kitchen spaces. This will involve actively participating in the project design phase, documentation, and coordinating with team members and clients. In addition, you will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment between client requirements and the design strategy of Food Service Consultants. Your responsibilities will include assisting in global and regional sourcing agreement discussions with equipment suppliers, reviewing drawings and documents at all stages to accurately achieve the client's design intent, tracking project details, schedules, and budgets, and identifying and addressing critical issues as they arise. Building and maintaining relationships with third-party food operators will be an essential part of your role, as well as advocating for client guidelines and requirements related to kitchen and food service equipment. Your support in equipment selection, supplier engagement, and reviewing tender document submissions from consultants and contractors will be vital in ensuring project success. Regular site visits at different project stages, coordination with various stakeholders, and providing support during construction periods will be key aspects of your role. Your ability to communicate design issues effectively, think innovatively, work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize tasks with little supervision will be crucial for success in this position. The minimum qualifications for this role include a BA/BS degree in Design (Architecture/Interior) or 3-5 years of relevant work experience if a degree is not held. You should have a minimum of 7 years of professional design or design management experience with a focus on kitchen spaces and food service equipment, preferably within food service or retail operations. Preferred qualifications include strong communication skills, the ability to think creatively and innovatively, and demonstrated leadership and strategic skills. You should be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and have an understanding of the permitting process, construction terminology, and project sequencing. Overall, as a Senior Designer for Kitchen Spaces in Food Service Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful design and implementation of kitchen projects, while fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.,
