Job Description

The Designer will be a key member of the HVAC design team assigned to projects, responsible for carrying out engineering and drafting activities in accordance with standard company procedures. It is your responsibility to ensure that the Group's technical policies are adhered to, taking into consideration any special contractual requirements. Your job responsibilities will include developing detailed designs in HVAC, schematic design, ducting layout, space planning, and ensuring proper design development and timely execution within your discipline. You will be required to manage activities assigned by the Lead Engineer or Design Manager, participate actively in HVAC engineering efforts, and coordinate interdisciplinarily to meet project requirements. You should have strong experience in executing projects related to pharmaceutical, life science, biotech facilities, and specialty chemical projects, particularly in terms of HVAC design and ducting layout preparation. Proficiency in the latest versions of AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Plant-3D, and BIM workflows is required. Additionally, you should have sound knowledge in designing ducting, piping, HVAC equipment layout, and preparing MTOs. Experience with various BIM software, especially Revit, for preparing schedules and quantity take-offs is essential. You should be well-versed in Revit modeling, creating working drawings, and contributing to a culture of excellence in quality work. Minimum Job Requirements: - Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering Discipline with significant experience in HVAC designing. - Ability to work independently in developing HVAC and ducting layouts. - Technical knowledge of HVAC designing for pharmaceutical, FMCG, and microelectronics projects. - Understanding of architectural layouts, process sequences, HVAC system design, zoning, pressurization layout preparation, duct sizing, and equipment layout. - Experience in hazardous area classification, HVAC layout preparation, ducting layouts, and P&ID development. - Knowledge of building codes, regulations, HVAC controls, and MTO/BOQ preparation. - Competence in interdisciplinary coordination, dust extraction system layouts, and preparation of ducting layouts for various facilities. - Familiarity with standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, Singapore Standards, and clean room guidelines. As a Designer, you are expected to work independently, possess strong technical knowledge, and contribute to the success of projects by developing high-quality HVAC designs and layouts in line with industry standards and project requirements.,
