Senior Designer - Electrical

As a Senior Designer - Electrical at Space Matrix, you will play a crucial role in leading the electrical design team to deliver innovative, compliant, and high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and managing a team of Electrical Design Engineers by providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight. - Developing and refining design concepts based on project specifications while ensuring all technical documentation is prepared and maintained. - Planning, allocating, and prioritizing tasks within the design team to achieve project milestones efficiently. - Reviewing, checking, and evaluating electrical designs and material specifications for tenders and project execution. - Verifying material data sheets and material take-off reports for accuracy and compliance with project requirements. - Preparing and validating project estimates and cost projections to ensure alignment with design and client expectations. - Collaborating with drafting and design teams to ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline requirements. - Documenting and reporting on meetings, project progress, design validations, and completion milestones. - Incorporating feedback and learning from completed projects and client reviews to drive continuous improvement and design excellence. - Guiding and training the team on emerging technologies, design tools, and international standards to ensure continuous skill enhancement. - Maintaining safety and compliance by adhering to the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System. Qualifications Required: - 6-10 years of total experience, including 3-4 years in a Senior Design Engineer or equivalent role. - Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical or a related discipline). - Proven team leadership and team administration skills with the ability to mentor and manage design engineers effectively. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional coordination. - In-depth understanding of engineering standards, codes of practice, and industry best practices. - Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design and documentation. - Familiarity with project management principles and procurement processes. - Expertise in using specialized design software and tools relevant to electrical systems design. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to deliver accurate and innovative design solutions.
