Senior Design Engineer - HVAC

Role Overview: As a Senior HVAC Engineer at Tractebel Engineering Private Limited, you will be responsible for leading HVAC design, review, and advisory services for power projects, large-scale industrial, and infrastructure projects. Your role will involve providing technical expertise, client-facing skills, and coordinating with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and validate HVAC design criteria, calculations, P&ID, BOQ, HVAC Layouts, specifications, and performance requirements. - Support feasibility studies, concept design, and optimization for energy efficiency and sustainability. - Review HVAC system designs submitted by EPC contractors for compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. - Provide technical recommendations and ensure alignment with client requirements and international best practices. - Act as the primary HVAC technical interface between the client, EPC contractors, and internal teams. - Ensure adherence to ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, NFPA, NBC, and other relevant standards. - Provide expert advice to clients on HVAC solutions, system reliability, and lifecycle cost optimization. - Assist in bid evaluation and vendor selection for HVAC equipment. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC design and consulting for industrial/commercial projects. - Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, VRF, AHUs, ventilation systems, and energy-efficient solutions. - Proficiency in HVAC design tools (CHVAC Elite, AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with BIM workflows. - Experience in reviewing EPC designs and managing client interfaces. - Site team support during the execution stage.
