Senior DB Developer

As a Database Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end database support which includes development, administration, deployments, and maintenance. Your expertise in supporting databases like Oracle and PostgreSQL, along with excellent SQL and Unix skills, will be crucial for the role. You will be working closely with developers and testing teams to write complex database objects and optimize database performance by tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code. Your technical skills will be put to use as you work with Oracle packages, procedures, views, materialized views, and various database objects. Experience in XML and JSON parsing within databases will also be required. Additionally, exposure to AWS DMS and managing Oracle, PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS will be beneficial for this role. In your day-to-day work, you will be part of an agile scrum team that operates in a T-shape model to achieve common goals in 2-week sprints. Utilizing XP techniques such as test-driven development, pair programming, and continuous delivery will be part of your routine. Transparency within the team, writing technical documentation, and presenting technical proposals to business partners will also be key responsibilities. Ensuring software delivery meets company standards in terms of architecture, quality, accessibility, security, and privacy will be a priority. You will collaborate with squad members through pair programming and support the writing and refinement of user stories and tasks in an agile software development environment.
