In this role, you will: Lead or participate in database management activities including designing highly complex logical and physical databases Lead highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts Perform the planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of server class databases Design and implement security solutions including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing Design and certify next generation database technologies Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction Provide technical leadership and recommendation into the future direction of database technology Develop management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Required Qualifications 4+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications The Candidate should be willing to work different shifts Team player with strong analytical and effective communication skills Experience in Teradata as application DBA Experience in python, Unix and shell scripting Experience in cloud migration Experience/knowledge in GCP and Big query preferred Should have innovative mindset for process improvements and automations Zeal to learn and keen interest in learning new things. Job Expectations Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's databases Consults with and provides guidance to database users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions Moderate to complex programming and coding to automate and/or support the database environment; performance monitoring and tuning; analyzing database metrics and assisting with capacity planning Support multiple Teradata systems including production and non-production by managing the database objects Administer and monitor the environment on regular basis for any issues Performance tuning systems for better performance Tune queries and pro-actively suggest improvements Work with vendors on upgrades and migrations Work on various Teradata tools and utilities' Basic cloud certification preferred.
