Job Description

Senior Database Developer Oracle PL/SQL

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code for applications and enhancements
Design and implement database architecture for new and existing applications
Create and manage data models, SSAS cubes, and optimize queries for performance
Define strategies for partitioning, archiving, and application data maturity models
Review queries and database objects created by other developers for adherence to best practices and performance standards
Conduct impact analysis for new requirements on existing applications and recommend optimal solutions
Collaborate with database administrators, application analysts, and business users for estimations and requirement gathering
Engage in proactive remediation of code quality, security, and framework-related issues

Required Skills & Experience

5 to 7 years of experience in PL/SQL, SQL/T-SQL, data modeling, SSAS, and cubes
Proven experience in SQL query optimization and performance tuning
Hands-on experience with data lakes and large-scale data handling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred Skills

Experience with partitioning and archiving strategies
Exposure to advanced database performance monitoring tools
