Senior Data Systems Lead

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Systems Lead with 10-15 years of experience to oversee the support, enhancements, new development, and innovation of data systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive the organization's data initiatives forward. ### Roles and Responsibility Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including project managers, data technicians, developers, and database engineers. Develop and implement strategic plans for data systems and projects, aligning with organizational goals. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data-oriented systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and performance standards. Manage data projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Ensure data systems are secure, reliable, and scalable to support the organization's growth. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Identify and mitigate risks associated with data projects and system enhancements. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations. Implement system enhancements and upgrades to improve performance, security, and functionality. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions. Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure data systems adhere to relevant laws and regulations. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions that drive business value. Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on data projects, system performance, and strategic initiatives. ### Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in data management, IT management, or a related field. Proven experience in managing data-oriented systems and projects. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. In-depth knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance standards. Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and ability to work virtually across global time zones.
