You will be part of a diverse tech team at American Express, where you will architect, code, and ship software to enhance the digital experience of customers. As a Senior Engineer Manager, you will lead the team in delivering technical solutions using cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices to implement cloud platforms. - Architect, code, and ship software to make American Express an essential part of customers' digital lives - Work in an open, supportive, and inclusive environment alongside talented engineers - Utilize technologies like GCP, Big data, Java, Spark, Kafka, APIs, Python, SQL, NoSQL to build cloud-based data platforms - Design and develop solutions to simplify access to Amex's Big Data Platform - Manage the team and projects end to end - Conduct IT requirements gathering and define problems with solution alternatives - Create detailed computer system design documentation and implement deployment plans - Participate in unit-level and organizational initiatives to provide high-quality consulting solutions - Understand issues, diagnose root causes, and perform secondary research to assist in strategy and business planning - Preferably a B.Tech or M.Tech degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline - 8+ years of software development experience, specifically in Big Data Engineering - Ability to interpret technical and business objectives, articulate solutions, and balance multiple priorities - Strong experience with Data in AR, Issues, CARD, Customer, ATM, GL data, and other domains within AMEX - Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Java, Airflow, Spark, PL/SQL - Cloud experience with GCP would be preferred - Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work in a global team You will be part of a diverse tech team at American Express, where you will architect, code, and ship software to enhance the digital experience of customers.
