Job Description

Design, build, and optimize scalable and reliable data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
Leverage the Databricks Lakehouse Platform to build robust, high-performance data solutions.
Develop and maintain data architectures including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT processes.
Optimize performance of data processing jobs on Spark (Databricks Runtime).
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
Automate workflows and orchestrate pipelines using tools such as Airflow or Databricks Workflows.
Implement best practices for data governance, security, lineage, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Work with large datasets and structured/unstructured data from diverse sources.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance of data systems.
Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to technical reviews and standards

Ideal Candidate Profile

Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend data development.
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (including notebooks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, and Workflows).
Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Scala .
Solid understanding of Apache Spark , data partitioning, caching, and performance optimization.
Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS , Azure , or GCP ) and their managed services.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions).
