Role Overview: We are seeking a Sr Data Engineer to spearhead our Data Foundation team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise in data engineering and development, and a passion for driving data strategy and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and developers. Work with Service Manager, Service Owner and the Architecture team to architect and implement scalable data solutions and infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business goals. Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met. Drive continuous improvement in data processes and technologies. Skills and Qualifications: Mandatory experience with ETL and understanding of ETL concepts. Experience implementing master data management solutions. Strong exposure to SQL, with the ability to write queries to validate data between DB applications. Experience with implementing APIs using FastAPI and GraphQL. Development of RESTful services with a good understanding of micro-services design patterns and concepts. Experience with AWS infrastructure. Demonstrated history of validating data in databases and various file formats. Hands-on experience with PySpark/Python and Jupyter Notebook. Familiarity with Agile software development methodology.
