Senior Data Analyst (Power BI Specialist)

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives. Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to key stakeholders. Dashboard Development: Design and implement visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards using Power BI, ensuring consistency with organizational standards. Utilize advanced visualization techniques to clearly communicate complex data sets in a comprehensible manner. Data Transformation & Modeling: Write complex queries using T-SQL to extract and manipulate data from relational databases. Develop and optimize data models using Power Query, M-Query, and DAX to support robust reporting and analytics. Document Transformations Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT, and other analysts, to understand data requirements and deliver insights. Present findings and recommendations to management, translating technical details into clear, actionable business language. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization. Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and tools, ensuring data quality and integrity. Preferred candidate profile Technical Proficiency: M-Query: Extensive experience in using M-Query for data transformation and Power Query. DAX: Proven expertise in writing and optimizing DAX expressions for complex data models. T-SQL: Strong proficiency in T-SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting. Data Warehousing: Kimball data warehousing knowledge and Implementation. Power Query: Advanced knowledge in using Power Query to connect, combine, and refine data sources. Data Visualization: Exceptional skills in designing and implementing effective data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI. Power BI Expertise: Demonstrated experience in creating interactive and comprehensive Power BI dashboards. Certifications: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification is highly desirable. Experience: A minimum of 6+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field. Proven track record of successfully delivering end-to-end data analytics solutions. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
