Senior Data Analyst

As a Senior Data Analyst at Elsevier, you will be part of the Content and Data Analytics team under DataOps in Global Operations. Your primary focus will be on providing data analysis services using Databricks for product owners and data scientists of Elsevier's Research Data Platform, contributing to the development of leading data analytics products for scientific research, including Scopus and SciVal. - **Support data scientists within the Domains of the Research Data Platform by engaging in various analytical activities such as analyzing large datasets, performing data preparation, and reviewing data science algorithms. - Create advanced-level insights and recommendations, as well as lead analytics efforts with high complexity autonomously. - Possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, expertise in at least one data analysis system, curiosity, dedication to quality work, and an interest in scientific research. - **Minimum of 5 years of work experience. - Coding skills in at least one programming language (preferably Python) and SQL. - Familiarity with string manipulation functions like regular expressions. - Prior exposure to data analysis tools such as Pandas or Apache Spark/Databricks. - Knowledge of basic statistics relevant to data science. - Experience with visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI.
