Senior Cybersecurity Specialist (Microsoft Security Stack)

• Support the review of the existing security environment across identity, endpoint, SOC operations, email, and data protection tools.
• Assist in identifying gaps, overlaps, operational issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare architecture diagrams, assessment reports, and documentation for current and future states.

2. Microsoft Security Implementation Support

• Assist in configuring and deploying Microsoft Entra ID features (MFA, Conditional Access, SSO, lifecycle workflows).
• Support setup and tuning of Microsoft Defender products (Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud Apps).
• Onboard data sources and configure analytics rules within Microsoft Sentinel under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Help implement and operate Microsoft Intune for device compliance, app protection, and endpoint hardening.
• Participate in deploying Microsoft Purview features such as DLP, classifications, insider risk, and governance controls.

3. Governance, Compliance & Best Practices

• Contribute to drafting policies, standards, and security governance procedures.
• Assist in implementing privacy and compliance controls mapped to frameworks like ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST CSF, etc.
• Support operational processes such as incident response, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting.

4. Consolidation & Standardization Initiatives

• Participate in migration activities from existing point solutions to the unified Microsoft stack.
• Help streamline security tools, configurations, and operational processes to reduce TCO and improve visibility.
• Ensure documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures are consistently updated.

5. Collaboration & Execution

• Work closely with senior security architects, IT operations, cloud teams, and compliance teams.
• Engage with vendors and managed security service providers (such as Arctic Wolf) to coordinate implementation tasks.
• Support testing, change management, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, identity, endpoint security, or data protection.
• Hands-on exposure to at least three Microsoft security components:

• Entra ID (Azure AD)

  IAM, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO

• Defender for Endpoint / Identity / Cloud Apps / O365

• Microsoft Sentinel

  onboarding connectors, basic analytics rules, incident handling

• Intune

  device compliance, MDM/MAM

• Purview

  DLP, data classification, insider risk (preferred)
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and cloud security concepts.

General Skills

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, and incident response.
• Good documentation, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and follow structured implementation processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-handling capabilities.

• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Identity & Access Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
• AZ-900 / SC-900 fundamentals
• Any additional security certifications (e.g., Security+, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, etc.)
