enior Cost Strategist - R&D Innovation and GEC-- Bangalore, Karnataka, India

• Drive performance of the Innovation projects from R&D and report-out to the upper Management with trends and analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Finance teams to develop and implement cost strategies for NPI/NPD projects.
• Build and maintain detailed cost models, including Return on Cost (ROC) frameworks, to support business case development and decision-making.
• Manage the cost center supporting engineering and NPI/NPD activities, including:

1. Overseeing the financial management of the cost center as a single point of accountability.
2. Executing cross-charging processes to allocate costs to relevant business units for services rendered.
3. Monitoring and reporting on cost-center performance, variances, and recovery rates.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization through design-to-cost, value engineering, and supplier engagement activities.
• Prepare and present cost analysis reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management.
• Active team member for brainstorming and problem-solving sessions as Lead cost reviews during project milestones, identifying risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Track and analyze periodic project costs, providing actionable insights and recommendations to project teams and leadership.
• Support the development of cost targets and budgets for new products, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and controls throughout the NPI/NPD and Innovation process.
