Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

  • Lead Data Migration Projects: Oversee the end-to-end data migration process, including scoping, planning, execution, testing, and implementation.
  • Data Mapping and Transformation: Define and design data mapping from legacy systems to new core banking systems.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Lead data validation and reconciliation efforts post-migration to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the migrated data.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to understand data migration requirements and manage expectations.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Plan and execute data migration testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Document data migration processes, methodologies, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with data migration activities.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor junior team members involved in data migration activities.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 15+ years of experience in banking data migration.
  • Strong knowledge of Finacle, iMal, and other core banking systems.
  • Proficient in ETL tools, SQL, Oracle, and cloud migration strategies.
  • Familiar with data governance, GDPR, PCI DSS, and project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Proven leadership in large-scale banking transformation projects.
