Senior Controls Engineer

As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading design control activities, developing all aspects of control systems, equipment, and machinery, and analyzing, designing, and implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with the development of technical reports, owning and maintaining schematics for equipment, and acting as a technical consultant for capital projects. Additionally, you will develop control system graphics, configure control system databases, and provide input to project lessons learned processes. Key Responsibilities: - Prototype, test, and optimize GNC systems in simulation and flight tests. - Partner with cross-functional teams to define sensor, computing, network, and redundancy requirements. - Assist in the development of machine specifications and provide documentation and support to the field team. - Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures and escalating downtime situations when necessary. - Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulations and perform controls systems assessments to maintain and improve equipment reliability. - Recommend hardware and software changes and upgrades to existing systems. - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and provide direction to electrical designers for project drawings. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in mechanalectrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience. - Experience with PLC, HMI, AutoCAD, C, and RSLOGIX software and systems. - 12+ years of experience in controls design. - Proficiency in controls systems writing protocols, databases, algorithm design, and programmable logic. - Dedicated to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
