Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for following-up on outstanding debts so that the organization's losses are kept to a minimum and arrears are economically collected.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and collect overdue accounts to minimize outstanding receivables
  • May handle and schedule recovery process of lease equipment due to delinquency, abandonment or termination of services
  • Conduct daily inbound calls, outbound calls, and written correspondence
  • Take ownership in assisting, researching, and resolving customer issues
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers, including process payments and credits for resolution
  • Enter all actions, comments and payment arrangements on accounts
  • Demonstrate effective skip tracing techniques by locating consumer contact information.
  • Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate account updates
  • Maintain knowledge of functional area and company policies and procedures
  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

Prefer a minimum of 3-5 years of collections or customer service experience.Similar related experience and or training is acceptable or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and Regulations relating to job duties
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, financial reports and legal documents
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and work in a multi-tasked environment independently
  • Ability to effectively and professionally present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to work with a variety of mathematical concepts
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
