Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

As an individual at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you will be an integral part of a diverse team focused on building the future of cloud for Enterprises. Acting with the agility of a start-up and the customer-centric approach of a leading enterprise software company, you will be part of the Compute organization, which is crucial in providing Compute power through VMs and BMs. Your role within the Compute org will involve working closely with the product team to ensure the shared full stack ownership of various services and technology areas. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the product team to understand end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. - Take ownership of mitigating critical customer incidents, deployments, or testing to enhance security, performance, availability, and scalability. - Work with development teams to meet SLAs and provide premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. - Demonstrate expertise in automation, orchestration principles, and troubleshooting complex issues. - Operate production environments, administer multiple systems, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance availability, performance, and supportability. Qualifications Required: - Deep technical knowledge and experience in administration and analysis of production environments. - Strong understanding of service topology, dependencies, and distributed systems. - Ability to articulate technical characteristics of services and guide development teams effectively. - Proficiency in performance attributes, security, and scalability requirements of services and technology stack. - Curiosity to develop a deep understanding of services and technologies.
