As a Senior Chartering Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead our chartering strategies, ensuring optimal fleet allocation, and maximizing earnings through comprehensive market analysis and strategic planning. Your expertise in Handysize and Supramax segments, along with strong industry relationships, will be crucial for success in this role. Your key responsibilities will include guiding chartering strategies based on market trends, freight rates, and cargo demand. You will be responsible for optimizing Operator unit earnings by conducting voyage calculations, market comparisons, and identifying opportunities for growth. Additionally, you will secure both long-term and spot charters, manage fleet allocation, conduct freight trading, and ensure comprehensive contract coverage. Regular market updates, insights, and analysis provided by you will be instrumental in supporting the management and commercial teams. Effective communication with brokers, charterers, and owners using advanced systems and methodologies will be essential for success in this role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree with exceptional communication skills and a well-established network of decision-makers. Your proven ability to negotiate profitable contracts and a deep understanding of chartering regulations and trends will set you up for success. A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Dry Bulk chartering within the Handysize-Supramax segments (Pacific and Atlantic basins) is required. Proficiency in the Greek language is a must for candidates interested in working in Greece.
