About the Job:

We are seeking a senior-level BI Developer to join its strategic Data team. This role is pivotal in transforming the bank's data into actionable insights, with a focus on designing and developing BI solutions using Power BI. You will be responsible for creating interactive and scalable reports and dashboards that support the bank’s multi-year data transformation roadmap. Working closely with Data Modeler, ETL Developer, QA and business functions like Finance and Risk, you will ensure the consistency and accuracy of reporting, enable self-service BI, and automate manual reporting processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• BI Solution Development: Design and develop compelling dashboards, reports, and paginated reports using Power BI to serve Finance, Risk, and Treasury reporting needs.
• Visualization and Automation: Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into interactive visualizations and automate manual, spreadsheet-based reporting for increased efficiency.
• Semantic Layer & Performance: Collaborate with data teams to optimize the semantic layer for reporting and establish BI development standards, including performance tuning.
• Self-Service BI & Governance: Build and certify reusable datasets and dataflows to enable and promote self-service BI. Implement and manage security models (row-level, role-based) to govern data access.
• Training & Adoption: Conduct training to drive adoption of BI tools and best practices across the organization, promoting data literacy.
• Operational Improvement: Act as a change agent, continually optimizing reporting solutions and data processes to improve data quality, traceability, and overall operational efficiency.
• Internal Compliance: Stay adjourned and adhere to the latest AML/CFT policies and procedures.

Qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years BI experience with at least 3 years in financial services
• Power BI Mastery: Advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), paginated reports, and Power BI Service.
• Data Integration: Experience integrating BI solutions with enterprise data warehouses and data marts, and strong understanding of SQL.
• BI Governance: Experience with BI governance, including security models, metadata management, and certified datasets.
• Comfortable using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to bridge knowledge gaps, create documentation templates, and accelerate learning and execution.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Advanced Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Paginated Reports, Semantic model).
• Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
• Experience with BI security and governance.
• Proficiency in semantic modeling and building reusable datasets.
• Solid understanding of financial and regulatory reporting.
• Strong understanding of SQL and data warehouse concepts.
