If you are seeking technical challenges, the opportunity to shape architecture, and the excitement of constructing a robust, scalable platform from the ground up, this role could be the defining adventure in your career. **Role Overview:** - Build and maintain the backend systems for NPrep's consumer-facing products - Design and implement the backend architecture to support a rapidly growing user base - Lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers to foster a collaborative engineering culture **Key Responsibilities:** - Possessing 5+ years of experience in Backend Engineering with a focus on EdTech or high-traffic consumer tech - Demonstrating deep expertise in NodeJS and NestJS, along with proficiency in TypeScript - Exhibiting strong architectural skills including microservices design, RESTful API development, and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases - Leading and mentoring engineering teams, conducting constructive code reviews, and fostering a high-performing culture - Applying problem-solving skills and analytical mindset for performance tuning and issue resolution - Embracing a startup attitude with resourcefulness, proactiveness, and a willingness to take ownership and move quickly - Holding a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong GitHub profile being highly valued **Qualifications Required:** - 5+ years of Backend Engineering experience - Deep expertise in NodeJS & NestJS - Strong architectural skills with experience in microservices architecture and both SQL and NoSQL databases - Team leadership & mentorship experience - Problem-solving skills and analytical mindset - Startup attitude with a proactive approach - Degree in Computer Science or related field NPrep offers flexible remote work options for the right candidate based in Gurgaon or Jodhpur.
